Nylon is our most stable material in the FDM 3D printing.
Due to its high flexibility with simultaneous dimensional stability, it is very suitable as a link- or loading element.
In our tests, nylon has proved, depending on the geometry, as manuel almost indestructible.
Even with the help of pliers, this material could withstand.
A disadvantage is nylon complex geometries, which often have to be discontinued, small threads emerge.
This can not always be totally removed, which is why nylon parts can sometimes look "furry".
Advantages
Disadvantages
Nylon is often used to produce end-use parts that are to be exposed to very high mechanical loads and must have a certain flexibility.
Nylon is produced in the so-called FDM procedure.
FDM means literally "Fused deposition modeling".
FDM is one of the simpler methods of 3D printing. Manufactured parts have
visible Layer. The advantage of this technology is the pressure in a
high variation of materials and direct using of well-known engineering
plastics. The material is genuinely applied and thus differs
to most other methods with materials having approximate
work properties. Another advantage is the possibility of closed cavities.
FDM is not recommended for small parts, as these overheat.
The procedure:
The model is disassembled into layers 0,1-0,2 mm .
Now, a plastic wire is pressed through a heating nozzle and a viscous
state puts.A CNC-controlled print head now moves from the contour of the component
and while applying the desired layer thickness.
Washable support structures of alcohol prevent hanging from overhangs.

The surface of your model is determined by the technology and the chosen material. Therefore, we offer several post-processing steps. This affects the cost, but also the quality of your model.
The natural surface of nylon is perfect if you want your model just as functional or demonstration prototype. You will see so the material and procedures based on the surface, since we do anything other than to print your part to remove the insulators and to send it to you.
